Babel Travel Destination - Singapore
Singapore boasts a wealth of eastern culture combined with very modern living. No trip would be complete without having dinner at Boat Quay where you can sit outside and soak up the vibrant atmosphere and the fabulous view of the Singapore River and towering skyline. Then afterwards a relaxing Singapore Sling in the Raffles Hotel is un-missable!

The Riverside area
The Singapore River forms a central artery in Singapore's densely packed Central Business District. The north bank of the river is where Raffles originally landed and founded his colony, and to this day many central government buildings can be found in the area.
Little India and Chinatown
Singapore's Little India and Chinatown is the traditional quarters of town, and while the entire city is largely Chinese these days these two areas do retain a lot of their own charm.
Bugis and Kampong Glam
Bugis and Kampong Glam are Singapore's old Malay district, now largely taken over by mall-shopping, although Arab Street in the Kampong Glam area is well worth a visit for its eclectic mix of unique shops and restaurants.
