It's not just ancient monuments that have drawn travellers to this country for centuries; the Greeks, Romans, Christian and Arab dynasties have all left their legacy in the profusion of art and architecture present today.

| Mt Sinai |
| Mt Sinai is where the Ten Commandments were reputedly revealed to Moses. The summit is perfect for viewing a spectacular sunrise or sunset over the desert. At the foot of Mt Sinai is the Greek Orthodox monastery of St Katherine, believed to be built around the burning bush that spoke to Moses. |
| Luxor |

Luxor was once the ancient Egyptian capital of Thebes. From the impressive temple complex of Karnak to the paintings and hieroglyphs in the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, this open-air museum is full of incredible reminders of the Pharaohs. The vibrant backstreets of Luxor are also well worth taking the time to explore.
