| Transferring a Booking |
If you are prevented from travelling on a booked trip, you may transfer your booking to another person provided they meet all the requirements relating to that trip.
If We Cancel or Change Your Holiday
We will let you know as soon as we can if, through no fault of your own, we are forced to significantly alter or cancel your holiday. A 'significant change' for example is a change of more than 24 hours (12 hours for holidays of 10 days' duration or less) in departure or return timings or other such change to itinerary and services that would reasonably be considered significant. |
| Surcharges |
We reserve the right to impose surcharges once you have booked but no surcharges will be imposed within 30 days of departure (or within whatever period the Government may from time to time deem) and any downward revision in the price will be refunded to you. |
| Trip Dossiers |
A general indication is provided in our brochures and website of the itinerary for each holiday, the type of accommodation used, what is included in the price, passport and visa requirements, and health formalities. Changes in all of these items may be made at any time and we will notify you of any significant changes that we become aware of as soon as we are reasonably able to do so. |
| Adventure Holidays |
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise the potential hazards (however slim) involved in this kind of holiday (eg. Use of public transport, camel, elephant or other modes of transport, remote locations, etc), including injury, disease, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort. It is all a part of this style of travel.
| Age, Fitness and Participation |
All clients are expected to be satisfied prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary of their chosen trip. To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits on our tours, however travellers aged 70 years or older are required to complete a medical questionnaire and provide this information to us at the time of booking. |
Children |
This may all seem a little negative. In fact, some of the most successful trips we have ever run have had children on them. Children have a wonderful way of opening doors. Nowhere more so than in Asia, where the locals always have great affection for children. We have introduced the following guidelines to ensure the best possible experience both for children travelling and the rest of the group members.
We do not accept children under 12 years of age on Babel Travel trips. Children 12 - 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult traveller and the maximum is 1 child per adult traveller.
| Illness or Disability |
Anyone suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment which may be required during the holiday. |
| Authority of the Leader |
During a Babel Travel trip it is necessary that you abide by the authority of the leader. This person, friendly and helpful, is suitably experienced to manage any situation.
| Insurance |
You must be covered by travel insurance, which must include adequate cover for medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become too ill to continue.
| Flights |
The prices shown in this brochure do not include international flights. |
| Data Protection Policy |
To ensure that your holiday runs smoothly, we (and your travel agent, if you use one) need to use information such as your name and address, special needs and dietary requirements, etc. |
